I believe in fair criticism so would like to add; I asked Virgin for my MAC code just under an hour ago. A rather 'unimpressed' gentleman took the call in response to the Virgin number given below. He was fair asked a few simple/usual questions (why are you leaving could we compete etc..) I made clear my position was settled and within 3/4 mins the call was over with an assurance I'd get my MAC code within 3-5 working days. It's just arrived! just under an hour later! Well done Virgin and simply as a result of this simple, quick, painless service I'd certainly consider using Virgin again. Thanks. p.s. Lets just hope the MAC code they've given me works now!!

I require my mac code asap. Sky is refusing to give me one and says account doesnt exist. Please respond asap

as ukonline closing & changing to sky phoned uk online, who said i didn't need a mac code. after week, sky cancelled my broadband application with them and said needed me to end ukonline first. Uk online said couldn't close and give me mac code - total confusion & poor service from both I think! why is it soo hard

Completely useless. Given the Sky telephone number to call,who claim no knowledge,one operative hung up the phone. Emails to Ukonline support unanswered

As UK Online is closing as it is part of Sky, I am forced to change ISP , but the tel no they give to get a MAC Code is Sky , who cannot give you the code but just try to persuade you to change to their broadband service (with the line rental as well). After 4 years with UKonline with no problems ,it seems I will be going to BT ( if I ever get my MAC code)

I have been trying to get a MAC SKY/ukonline for over 3 weeks with no success.Everytime i phone they have lost my details.I am stiil waiting.

Spoke to SKY who were useless. then spoke to UKOnline who provided the MAC. Shame about Rupert Murdoch's typically crap service

Been with UK Online for around 5 years. Called up customer services this morning to request MAC code. No questions asked (except security questions), they said I would receive it by email in around 2 hours. I decided to check my email straight after anyway and found the MAC code in my inbox. Total time from call to MAC code approx 20 mins, that includes the 10 mins or so I was on hold.

I asked from them a MAC code as the Internet at them is very bad 7 months. They have not given me a MAC code, have told that the contract is not ended. I should suffer their mockeries from for the contract. UKonline it is swindlers do not contact them.

Did not giove my MAC code but asked me who is going to be my new provider. When I said said BT they asked me why I am moving. They said they will mathch what BT is offering and suggested me to try their offer. I did not get the MAC code

Very helpful but need to cancel account after receiving mac code and not before.
