Like JonathonR. The no. I used was 0845 1224111. The young lady was most helpful. No pressure to change mind. Promised to e.mail MAC within 5 days. A very happy outcome.

total refusal and evasion when asked for mac code , kept tag on my phone line to stop me changing , this could be error or deliberate , also refused to accept cancellation on first 2 contact ,latest e mail said write or ring to cancel service inspite of previous e mail acknowledging cancellation

The number to phone is 0845 1224 111, pick option 2. They were very helpful, and discussed why I wanted to switch. They did try to get me to switch to another of their products, but were not overbearing. The told me they'd send me a MAC within 5 days and that the MAC would be valid for 30 days. She was so nice I almost decided not to switch!

To be honest, I cant wait to get shot of them... terrible customer service, lines speeds are poor, price is high and then they tell me they'll e-mail the MAC code within 10 days (whereas on this site, the law says it must be within 5 days!!). Hopefully BT will be better (I'm sure they cant be worse and they're cheaper!!)

The number you advised for calling Eclipse "has not been recognised". I spoke to Eclipse technical department who couldn't help. They said I have to ring a premium rate number. This was after a 35 minute call to a different premium rate number.

Phoned Eclipse this morning on their Customer Service line, explained that I wanted to move so requested my MAC code, Customer Services very good, asked me why I wanted to move, I explained that SKY had just put 16MB connection into my local exchange (Tiverton) and that they would charge me only £10.00 a month to be with them. All ok, code should be emailed to me within 5 working days.
