After asking why i wanted the mac code and trying to offer me alternative products at a discount (been with them 6 years) they handed over the mac code quickly. Whole process took 10 minutes over the phone to their customer service staff. I left as fed up with their FUP as i download at night and they where not sending out warning emails as they said they would.

Very hard work, the telephone numbers at Demon appear to direct to a call centre on the Indian sub continent where everyone works to a strict scrip. The Tech support failed to solve my problem over a period of two weeks, kept leaving messages at weird times telling me the problem had been fixed and to call them back if I had any further problems. They failed to call me back one several occasions after asking me to give them a second chance several times, my calls were cut off after I give my account details and the staff just kept saying the MAC code customer service office was busy, can we arrange a call back. Finally got through and even then, they wouldn't give me my code over the phone. After 14yrs with Demon Internet, I've had enough. I'll be very surprised if the MAC code does come through by e-mail given the poor service recently.

Had to phone Demon twice, but they could not have been more helpful. Did try to get me to stay with them. But provided the MAC code in minutes.

I first tried phoning to get my MAC code 18 days ago. Finding myself queuing indefinitely, I later tried "out-of-hours" and left a message on the answerphone saying that I wanted to cancel my contract and would somebody let me know my MAC code. After having had no response for over a week, I then wrote to their cancellation department with the same message, but again no response after over a week. Prior to asking for my code I'd tried to get help from customer services on dozens of occasions, but never got any response. It seems that Demon just ignore all attempts to contact them.

Very polite and professional in handling the MAC code request. Demon provided the MAC in about 3 min on the phone, with a confirmation email arriving as the cust. srv. rep. was reading out the code. Very well handled. I was cancelling not from poor service but becuase the company had shut down and didnt need a business class services anymore.
